Updated: Nov 16, 2020

November 9, 2020

Dear High School Parents and Guardians:

As we prepare for our upcoming Parent/Guardian/Teacher Conferences, we are delighted to have an opportunity to meet with you to discuss the progress of your child. A strong home/school bond and teamwork assist us in providing the best educational vehicle possible for our students and community. Thus, the Parent/Guardian/Teacher Conference provides the perfect platform to ensure your child’s educational needs are being met and allows for your child’s teacher to provide you with valuable information to assist in a positive educational process. In short, we are committed to the Pillars of Active Teacher Engagement, Checking for Understanding, Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport, and Maximizing Instructional Opportunities for all students.

Due to the COVID Pandemic, all teacher conferences will be held virtually via Zoom. There will be three Zoom sessions held this year.

Wednesday November 25, 2020 8:30 am – 11:30 am

Monday November 30, 2020 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Monday November 30, 2020 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

All registrations for High School Zoom Conferences will be completed via SignUp Genius. A link to sign up will be sent home and posted on the district’s website next week. On Monday, November 16, 2020, the link to the SignUp Genius will become active. At that time, you may sign up for the day, session, and time that best fits the needs of your schedule. Each conference will be scheduled for 10 minutes. If you need assistance signing up for a conference(s), please feel free to contact the high school office at (724) 437-4741.

We strongly encourage parents and guardians to schedule a conference and provide input to assist us in forging a successful educational program for your child. As mentioned earlier, the education of your child is a team effort. We very much wish for you to be a valued part of the conversation and process. We take the education of each student seriously and target nothing less than success for your child, family, and community. In closing, we hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to talk with your child’s teachers.

We look forward to your Zoom Conference during one of the scheduled days and times.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jesse T. Wallace, III

Superintendent
